The Long Walk schools' competition for term 1 is now open!
The Long Walk will be running a schools competition through each term in 2012.
Term 1 is all about Stepping Up to make a difference. Step Up calls on schools and individuals to promote The Long Walk’s purpose of raising awareness for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander well being.
Step Up is closely tied to our Walk the Talk schools program and is a fun way to introduce Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies into the classroom.
Entries will be judged by the number of participants involved in the project or activity, the most creative idea, the group that has the most innovative use of technology and the team that raises the most money on behalf of The Long Walk.
Winners will get the opportunity to walk on the ‘G for the Round 8 Dreamtime match or there are some awesome T-shirts up for grabs if you can’t make it to Melbourne.
Get creative and Step Up for The Long Walk!
Entry is now open and all entries must be uploaded by the 30th March to be considered. Winners will be notified by the 30th April 2012.
